Go to your profile → Settings → Delete Account. Your data is permanently removed within 30 days. This includes your profile, messages, meetup history, and location data. If you have trouble, email us at support@joinavilo.com.

Yes. Go to your profile and tap Edit. You can update your display name, bio, and profile photo at any time.

Avilo uses phone number sign-in — no password required. Enter your phone number and we'll send you a one-time code via SMS. If you no longer have access to that number, contact us at support@joinavilo.com and we'll help recover your account.

Endorsements unlock only after two people have completed a verified meetup (both parties confirm with selfies). Then each person can endorse up to 5 traits for the other — things like "great listener", "adventurous", "reliable". Your endorsement score is visible on your profile and can't be bought or faked.

After agreeing to meet in the chat, either person can trigger a meetup confirmation. Both people must open the app and take a selfie — independently. The selfies are timestamped and cross-checked. Once both confirm, the meetup is verified and endorsements unlock.

Your selfie stays pending until they confirm too. We send them a reminder. If they don't confirm within 7 days, the pending confirmation expires. You can always try again the next time you meet.

By default, confirmed meetup selfies are shared to the community feed — this is what makes the reputation system trustworthy. You can opt out before confirming and your selfie will remain private. You can also delete a public post at any time from your profile.

Go to any user's profile or chat → tap the ⋯ menu → Block. Blocked users can't see your location, profile, or message you. The block is immediate and silent.

Tap ⋯ on any profile or message → Report. Choose a reason (harassment, inappropriate content, fake profile, etc.). Our team reviews every report within 24 hours. Serious violations result in immediate suspension. You can also email support@joinavilo.com for urgent reports.

Yes. Tap the visibility toggle on the map screen. When off, your pin disappears from everyone's map instantly. You can still browse and chat — nobody will know you're online. Location data is never stored or shared when you're invisible.

Always meet in public places for the first time. Tell a friend where you're going. Trust your gut — if something feels off, it's okay to leave. Avilo's verified community reduces risk significantly, but your instincts matter. Check their endorsements and meetup history before agreeing to meet.

No. Other users see your approximate location on a map — not your exact GPS coordinates. We fuzz the position to a ~200m radius. Your precise location is never visible to other users.

Never. We don't sell, share, or monetise your personal data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. Our business model is premium features — not advertising.

Active account data is kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Message content is deleted immediately. Aggregated, anonymised statistics may be retained for product analytics.
